Judge orders EEOC to pay 4.7million in attorney fees to other party

EEOC LOSES CASE AND JUDGE ORDERED THE EEOC TO PAY 4.7 MILLION IN ATTORNEY FEES.

In the latest chapter of a litigation saga that has proven expensive for the feds, Jenner & Block has won what could be a record $4.7 million in attorney fees and costs from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
At issue was an employment discrimination case brought by the EEOC against the law firm’s client, CRST Van Expedited, in 2007. It alleged that female workers had been sexually harassed by male employees and trainers. The company settled one claim for $50,000, but more than 250 other claims were dismissed
A federal judge in Iowa said the EEOC did not exhaust administrative remedies and properly investigate before filing a lawsuit claiming that the company tolerated harassment, according to the Associated Press.
U.S. District Judge Linda Reade ordered the EEOC to cover the company’s $4.7 million in attorney fees and costs as a sanction for making a “pattern-or-practice” claim and 153 individual claims that were “unreasonable or groundless.” The total includes both trial-level and appellate work by multiple law firms.
A spokeswoman says the EEOC is “deeply disappointed” by the ruling and may appeal, the Associated Press reports.
A post at Seyfarth Shaw’s Workplace Class Action Blog links to a copy of the Aug. 1 opinion (PDF).
It says 98 employment discrimination claims against the company were dismissed as a discovery sanction, and three were withdrawn by the EEOC.
A Jenner & Block press release provides further details.

EEOC Complaint

EEOC COMPLAINT

UPDATES: I will be posting updated as they become available, and I will remove this blog once my complaint is resolved.

August 06, 2014, My case is still being ignored by the EEOC. The EEOC simply does not care.

August 22, 2018: My case is still unresolved. I’m still being stonewalled by the EEOC.

The purpose of this is blog is to hopefully have the right person read it and reach out to me and help me with my case. I really would like to resolve this complaint. I would like appreciate it if somebody from the EEOC would reach out and discuss this problem with me. I just want my case investigated and processed. I don’t think that’s asking for much. Is it? I thought the EEOC was here to help people and not hurt people that ask for help. If somebody from the EEOC would reach out to me and help resolve this matter, I would greatly appreciate it. Please help the little person with no voice. The EEOC is stonewalling. Please help. Thank you.

May 16, 2012, I was threatened, harassed and lied to by EEOC’s Nicholas Inzeo’s, executive assistant Quincy Dillard. Dillard stated to me on the phone that he is Inzeo’s assistant.

I have a case with the EEOC that have been trying for over a year to get resolution, and have somebody look over my case for an error that occurred. EEOC refuses to return my calls. I am constantly being stonewalled by EEOC. Because of my case being ignored and nobody returning my calls, I contacted field manager Edward Gomez. Gomez stated to me that if nobody at the EEOC wants to return my calls, then he can’t do anything about it. He said that he does not oversee the EEOC Los Angeles and that they manage themselves. He said that he is equal to Rosa Veramontes and if she ignores me than he can’t do anything about it. However, I was told by the OIG, that Edward Gomez has jurisdiction over the Los Angeles office and takes complaints. Edward Gomez told me on the phone that he is busy and I am bothering him, and if the Los Angeles office calls me then I am taking time away from somebody else and so that is why they are not returning my call. He was very rude, he ignored the fact that I am a discrimination victim that has an EEOC case too. He said I was taking up his time and he is busy and then he hung up. (listen to recording below).

I then tried to contact Nicholas Inzeo, as the OIG stated to me that Mr. Inzeo is Mr. Gomez’s manager.
My call was transferred to Quincy Dillard. Dillard stated to me that he is Inzeo’s assistant. I told him that I have a complaint about Edward Gomez. Dillard, said he can take the complaint and that he is Gomez’s manager.

Dillard was very rude to me and sided with his coworker Gomez. Dillard raised his voice to me and said that Edward Gomez is not helping me and WAS RUDE TO ME BECAUSE I WAS RUDE TO HIM!! However, the phone call was recorded, and you can listen to it below to prove that I was not RUDE, and Gomez was indeed sarcastic to me and stonewalled my case from being investigated.

Quincy Dillard’s demeaner and manners was VERY VERY unprofessional and unethical as he spoke to me. He did not sound educated at all. His speech and grammar was very poor. I was surprised that somebody like him would be given an exutive assistant role at the EEOC. I late found out that Quincy Dillard lied to me and does NOT manager Edward Gomez at all. In fact, they are coworkers that work in the same office. Quincy Dillard of the EEOC LIED to me. He also told me that he knows my address and he threatened to send a black man to my house and attack and rape me if file a complaint against him or his coworker Edward Gomez. He said that he has EVERYTHING on me. He went on tell me that the EEOC is never helping me and that is why my cases were not investigated and were closed without being investigated. He said, “THIS NIGGERS HANGING UP ON YOU!”
The phone call was recorded and you can listen to it below.

I then contacted the EEOC chair to tell them what just occurred. I spoke to a woman that said she was the Chair’s secretary.
She was very professional and nice. She said she will have somebody return my call and look into my case. She sided with her coworker Quincy Dillard and said that he was having a bad day. However, I don’t think it is a bad day if he threatens me.

Nobody returned my calls, and the case is still not resolved. She lied to me.
